FOSM HOMEPAGE "The Friends of St Mary's" organises social and education events to help purchase educational equipment for our children. It is a forum for parental involvement, discussion and suggestions. Regular events organised by the FOSM include the Christmas Fair, Summer Fair, St Margaret's Fair, Quiz night, 70's Disco, cake sales, and end of term Barbecue. Proceeds from these events really do make a difference to the quality of educational experience your child receives at school.
Everyone who has a child or children at the school is automatically a member of The FOSM and past parents, members of the local community and people previously associated with the school are eligible to become Committee members.
The Committee meets at least once a term, usually during the first two weeks; we start at 8 o'clock and aim to finish by 9.30, 10 at the latest. We send out regular newsletters informing parents of forthcoming events and encouraging everyone to become involved in helping to make each fund raising activity a success. We are currently raising money for improvements to the infant playground, library and to improve IT provision.
If you would like to become involved with the Friends of St Mary's (you do not have to join the Committee!) please speak to the class rep for your Year. Alternatively, leave a note with either school office for the attention of the FOSM and we will contact you direct.
